This page explains how CompatibilityCalculator.net approaches compatibility, what the current Full Chart mode calculates, and how Western astrology, Vedic astrology and numerology are kept as separate systems.
The current Full Chart mode is a Western astrology calculation based on the birth information required for the chart factors available in that mode. The site also publishes educational material about Vedic astrology and numerology. A topic can be covered educationally without being included as an input to every live calculator result.
How CompatibilityCalculator.net Approaches Compatibility
Compatibility can be explored at different levels. A sign-level comparison gives a broad view of style and interaction. A chart comparison can examine planetary positions, aspects and other information that depends on birth details. Numerology uses numbers, while Vedic matching follows its own traditional framework.
The current calculator identifies its available comparison through the interface. The Full Chart mode uses the birth information needed for a chart comparison, while the separate Sun, Moon & Rising mode provides a sign-level reading. Each compatibility system should state its own inputs and scoring approach instead of silently combining different traditions into one unexplained percentage. The current Full Chart result uses built-in astrology and scoring rules for the compatibility calculation. AI is not used to determine the score in the current Full Chart mode. Tarot is not part of the current Full Chart calculation. If AI or Tarot is used in a future feature, that role should be explained separately from the calculation itself.
Western Astrology Compatibility
The current Full Chart mode compares two Western astrology charts. It uses the birth details entered for each person, calculates planetary positions, examines relationships between the charts and organizes the interpretation into seven compatibility areas.
Birth Details and Chart Calculation
Each person provides a date of birth and a selected birth location. Exact birth time can be entered when it is known. The location helps establish the relevant time and place for the chart, while the birth time supports information that changes more quickly, including the Ascendant.
Names are optional in the current Full Chart flow. They can personalize the way a result is displayed, but they do not determine planetary positions or replace birth information in the chart calculation. The current chart calculation follows the Western zodiac sign framework. It should not be read as the same method as a sidereal Vedic calculation. If a separate Vedic mode is introduced, its zodiac convention and matching rules should be identified with that mode.
Planetary Positions and Relationship Behavior
The current interpretation uses practical behavioral anchors rather than treating a planet as a one-word verdict.
Sun and Moon: The Sun relates to identity and personal direction. The Moon relates to emotional safety and instinctive reaction. Between two people, these placements can show how each person wants to be recognized, what helps them feel secure and how they react before they have fully explained themselves.
Mercury and Venus: Mercury relates to speech, interpretation and the exchange of ideas. Venus relates to affection and attraction. Together, they can describe how people explain themselves, handle disagreement, show care and respond to the emotional tone of an interaction.
Mars and Jupiter: Mars relates to desire, assertion and conflict response. Jupiter relates to optimism, perspective and expansion. These placements can show how a pair pursues what it wants, handles pressure, encourages one another and makes room for a larger view.
Saturn and the Ascendant: Saturn relates to responsibility, limits, patience and endurance. The Ascendant relates to outward behavior and immediate response. Together, they can help describe reliability, everyday rhythm, first impressions and how a relationship handles practical demands.
Uranus, Neptune and Pluto may add background to a chart comparison when they are relevant. In plain terms, they can point to independence and disruption, imagination and unclear expectations, or intensity and deep change. They should support the main reading rather than turn the Methodology page into a full planet guide.
Synastry Aspects and Orbs
Synastry compares placements in one person’s chart with placements in the other person’s chart. The current Full Chart calculation recognizes conjunctions, sextiles, squares, trines and oppositions among the relationships used in its public result.
An aspect is not equally strong at every distance. The orb is the difference between the exact aspect and the actual angular relationship. A closer aspect generally gives clearer evidence than a looser aspect within the permitted range. The result uses this evidence to describe supportive patterns and pressure points rather than treating one planet or one aspect as the whole relationship.
The Current Western Result Areas
The current calculator organizes its Full Chart interpretation into seven areas. These labels belong to this calculator’s presentation; they are not universal categories used by every astrology tradition.
Core Temperament describes how each person responds to the other’s basic style, direction and presence.
Emotional Compatibility describes reassurance, instinctive reactions and emotional safety between the two people.
Communication describes how the pair exchanges ideas, interprets words, argues, clarifies meaning and responds to misunderstanding.
Attraction & Chemistry describes affection, desire, warmth and differences in emotional or physical pace.
Trust & Follow Through describes responsibility, patience, pressure, reliability and expectations in shared plans.
Day-to-Day Compatibility describes outward habits, timing, first reactions and ordinary routines.
Growth describes how the relationship can broaden perspective, encourage development or expose a pattern that needs attention.
The overall percentage summarizes the patterns included by the current Western rules. The written breakdown provides the context by showing areas that may feel natural, areas where more care helps, supporting evidence and pressure points.
The Separate Sun, Moon & Rising Mode
The site also provides a separate sign-level comparison for Sun, Moon and Rising signs. It compares the nine combinations formed by the two people’s three placements. This gives a broad sign-pattern reading, but it does not claim to calculate exact degree-based synastry aspects.
The Sun, Moon & Rising mode and the Full Chart mode therefore answer different questions. The Full Chart mode uses birth details and a location-supported chart calculation. The sign-level mode compares the signs supplied for that reading and produces its own score and interpretation.
How the Western Score Is Interpreted
The Western percentage summarizes compatibility patterns inside the current astrology model. It is not a probability that a relationship will succeed, continue, lead to marriage or end in a breakup. It is not a scientific accuracy percentage, and it cannot guarantee compatibility.
The score is most useful when read with the written breakdown. It can give a person language for noticing communication habits, emotional pacing, attraction, responsibility and everyday friction. It cannot predict what either person will choose or how the relationship will develop.
What Happens When Birth Time Is Unknown
Exact birth time can matter when a calculation depends on the Ascendant or another time-dependent placement. If the exact time is unknown, the calculator does not invent one.
Instead, it uses the information that can still be supported and leaves out time-dependent factors, such as Ascendant contacts, when they cannot be calculated with enough confidence. A reading made without supported exact birth times is therefore narrower than one based on complete birth-time information. It should not be read as though an uncertain placement were known precisely.
Vedic Compatibility
Vedic astrology is a separate compatibility framework, not a translation of the Western Full Chart percentage. A Vedic matching approach may use a sidereal zodiac, Moon sign or Rashi, Nakshatra and traditional matching factors.
How Vedic Matching Differs
Western synastry commonly examines relationships between planetary positions in two natal charts, including aspects and their closeness. A Vedic approach may place more emphasis on Moon-based factors, Nakshatras and traditional matching frameworks. Different Vedic traditions and practitioners can make different choices about calculations and interpretation, so one method should not be presented as the only Vedic method.
Nakshatra and Traditional Matching Methods
Nakshatra-based interpretation and approaches such as Ashtakoota or Guna Milan belong to Vedic astrology. A traditional Guna score has its own scale and meaning within that method. It is not automatically a percentage and should not be treated as equivalent to a Western synastry score.
Vedic educational material can remain part of the site even when a particular live calculator mode does not currently calculate it. If a Vedic mode is introduced or documented, it should state its required inputs, zodiac convention, matching factors, scoring scale and limitations.
Numerology Compatibility
Numerology uses number-based interpretations rather than planetary positions. Depending on the chosen method, a comparison may use numbers derived from a birth date, a Life Path calculation or name-based numbers.
Birth-Date Numbers
Birth-date numerology can use numbers derived from a person’s date of birth to describe themes within that numerology system. Those numbers do not determine planetary positions and are not hidden astrology inputs.
Name-Based Numerology
Some numerology methods use a person’s typed name to derive additional numbers. That is a number-based convention within the chosen numerology method. It does not mean that a name changes the person’s planets, birth chart or Ascendant.
If the site launches or documents a numerology mode, it should identify the numerology tradition, name rules, date rules, score scale and privacy behavior for that mode. A numerology score should retain its own meaning rather than being converted into a Western percentage or a Vedic Guna score.
Why Scores From Different Systems Are Kept Separate
The systems described on this site answer different methodological questions. A Western score summarizes patterns in a Western chart comparison. A Vedic Guna or Ashtakoota result summarizes factors within a traditional Vedic matching approach. A numerology result summarizes number-based relationships within its chosen method.
These outputs should not be silently averaged or treated as though the numbers use the same scale. The method name, required inputs and scoring approach should appear with a result so that the reader knows what the number represents.
Privacy and Birth Data
The current Full Chart calculation runs in your browser. Birth details used for the reading are processed in the browser and are not stored with the reading in the current calculator flow.
This does not mean that the entire website makes no network requests. Pages, scripts and location information still need to load, and broader practices involving cookies, analytics or advertising belong in the Privacy Policy rather than being folded into the calculator explanation.
What Compatibility Results Can and Cannot Tell You
A compatibility result can provide a structured way to notice themes such as emotional pacing, communication habits, attraction, responsibility, daily rhythm and areas where clearer repair may help. The written reading is most useful when it gives a person language for observing a real interaction.
It cannot establish whether two people will stay together, marry, separate or treat one another well. It cannot replace conversation, consent, professional support, personal judgment or attention to behavior. The percentage is a summary inside a selected compatibility system, not a prediction of a person’s future. The Disclaimer provides additional context for reading astrology-based material without treating it as a guarantee about future events.
Keeping the Methodology Current
When calculator features change, this page should change with them. Descriptions of inputs, scoring, birth-time handling and privacy should match the current product rather than older versions of the calculator.
Claims about accuracy, expert review, credentials, consultations, testimonials or data handling should not be added without evidence that can be checked. Keeping those boundaries clear helps readers understand what the calculator does without asking them to treat a score or an authority claim as proof of relationship outcomes.
